Franklin House is the world's only remaining Franklin home and is
one of the most important Anglo-American heritage site on either
side of the Atlantic. Our dynamic museum and educational facility
would not have been possible without the generosity of our supporters.
Among our primary donors is the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). The HLF donated £500,000 to the exterior stabilisation of the building and in 2004 granted a further nearly £1 million toward project costs of £1.7 million to complete interior conservation and finally open the building to the public.

Numerous others have made our efforts possible such as the Equitable
Charitable Trust, the Fidelity Foundation, the Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers Foundation, the Royal Society of Arts,
the Starr Foundation, the US Embassy, London, the Weston Foundation,
and the Wolfson Foundation. For a more comprehensive list of supporters,

We are now working to increase awareness of the House and its offerings
through guidebooks, tour operators, event organisers, and the like
in order to expand visitor numbers further. And we must move toward
generating a significant endowment of approximately £4 million
($8 million) to cover annual expenditure and ensure the long-term
sustainability of the building and its aims.
